Read the code
Format: Genuine Pop Mart Labubu figures include a QR-code authenticity sticker on the box that scans to Pop Mart's verification page, and many carry a UV-reactive stamp on the foot that only shows under UV light. The box and the figure also carry official Pop Mart / 'The Monsters' branding.
Where to find it: QR sticker on the box; UV stamp on the figure's foot; brand text on box base.
Don't stop at the code
A correct-looking code on a poorly-made item still means fake — and fakers copy valid codes. Cross-check the code against the physical tells below.
| What to check | Genuine | Fake |
|---|---|---|
| Tooth count | The classic Labubu grin has exactly nine teeth, evenly shaped and spaced. | Wrong tooth count, uneven or crooked teeth, or a sloppy mouth — the community's #1 'Lafufu' tell. |
| QR & UV mark | QR sticker scans to a Pop Mart verification page; a UV-reactive stamp glows on the foot under UV light. | No QR, a dead/reused QR link, or no UV stamp under UV light. |
| Face paint & finish | Clean, symmetrical face printing; smooth matte/satin finish; correct ear and fur sculpt. | Off-center or smudged face paint, wrong color tone, glossy or rough finish, mis-sculpted ears. |
| Box & print quality | Sharp box printing with correct Pop Mart / 'The Monsters' logos and crisp colors. | Dull or off-color printing, wrong/blurred logos, thin flimsy box. |
| Foot stamp & seams | Correct Pop Mart foot stamp; clean seams with no excess flashing. | Missing/wrong foot stamp, visible seams, plastic flashing or glue. |
